Rule 20
Acting Promotion
(1) Officers who are potential candidates for promotion and who have completed the following service period in the official position, from soldiers to assistant charioteers, in the event that a position above one level is vacant, the officer according to Rule 14 may be promoted acting according to the need according to the recommendation of the promotion committee:- Position to be promoted Authorized service period < br> (a) Above twenty years
(b) Assistant Chariot Eighteen years
(c) Mahasenani Fifteen years (d) Chief Soldier Eleven years
(e) Soldier seven years (2) Priority will be given to seniority when promoted in accordance with sub-rule (1).
(3) According to sub-rule (1), the officer who has been promoted as acting officer shall be entitled to mark the salary and allowances of the post in which he is acting. But that non-executive period will not be counted in the term of office.
(4) The officer who is promoted to acting will not get salary increase (grade) throughout the acting period.
